Hi Bob- I also live on the east side of Vancouver Island! Yes I water in summer to keep the spuds growing. I water less in the grow bags than in the wire fence system…. just a swish when it looks like they need it. I slow down the watering once September hits so they can harden off and die back.
like your idea. how much and often do you water? do you stop watering at any point? Although I live on the east side of Vancouver island it does get hottish at times. I would suspect some kind of watering regime might be beneficial. I have my garden on timers with a low pressure drip system. thanks bob
