What is New in Irrigation Systems?
When I first set up my squash with IRT (Infrared Transfer) mulch I was a little disappointed. It was so tricky to water the quick-growing plants when the plastic mulch was stopping the rain from penetrating through to the roots. Oops! I realized a season too late that I needed to put a drip system of irrigation on a timer under the plastic mulch. Yeah, well, even old pros have a thing or two to learn!
So I met up with Gerry at the Home & Garden Show in Calgary and took this opportunity to ask him all about the latest in irrigation systems. Here he is – on tape, live from the Home Show in Calgary.
Here are a couple quick interviews with Regency Irrigation owner Gerry Gitzel in Calgary, Alberta. Gerry is an irrigation instructor and specialist and he helps gardeners grow their best food by providing the latest in irrigation systems. Sorry I didn’t grab a photo of Gerry while I had him!
And here is another 39 second clip explaining micro-irrigation.
