PS I went ahead and planted my squash and watermelons on the coast…. still too early for these warm season crops in Calgary. Also my strawberries are in bloom! 
 

Strawberries are starting to bloom. Good thing is they are easily pollinated by wind, bugs and beetles. They won’t need bees to set fruit.
